This isn’t really a day to day bag but I think this is a fun bag for events! I am a skull junkie. That’s why I love the clasp and Alexander McQueen.

5)  Yves Saint Laurent: Belle de Jour Clutch Bag, Black

Again this isn’t a day to day bag! But it’s a classic and I need a plain black clutch! YSL always has the best classics! Plus it’s simple and has clean lines.

My New Year’s Resolutions

Posted on: January 2nd, 2013 by admin No Comments

I love New Year’s because I feel it gives you the opportunity to start over and change your past mistakes.  This past year I feel I learned a lot about myself  and who I want to become. As my Grandmom Judy tells me “Life is like a box of chocolates,  you never know what your going to get.” (Forest Gump) I had such an amazing 2012. I know 2013 is going to be my year because I can already envision it! I have a lot to look forward to!  My New Year’s Resolution’s are to be more consistent and to push myself harder when working out or eating more greens! I plan on sticking with this too! Some of my favorite memories of 2012 included going to the KCA’s, getting thousands of views on Gracie and Dalia with One Direction, meeting my childhood idols the Jonas Brothers, and being named National Youth Ambassador for Wish Upon A Hero. I want to thank everyone who encourages me to shoot for my dream. I love you guys! Happy New Year. Tweet me what your resolutions are @graciegutos

Merion Mercy Hurricane Hero Food Drive featured on Eye Openers

Posted on: November 19th, 2012 by admin No Comments

As the National Youth Ambassador for Wish Upon A Hero, I knew had to do something for those affected by the tragic experience of Hurricane Sandy. I was truly enlightened when my best friends Maria Zeris, Amelia Piccone, Courtney Pellegrino, and Julia Littleton wanted to help me start a food drive for those in need in support of Wish Upon A Hero’s efforts. After seeing our home state New Jersey destroyed, it enticed us to want to help even more. We decided to rally our school friends and administration at Merion Mercy Academy. After multiple brainstorming sessions we decided to set a high goal to collect one thousand non perishable food items. We posted announcments on our facebooks and twitters, the school’s digital bulletin board, and made an appearance on our schools news ”Good Morning Merion”. Then, Ashley Johnson from Eye Openers morning news found out about our project and decided to film our story with the help of her news crew. We had a blast on set at the Wish Upon A Hero headquarters and really enjoyed being able to meet Ashley! We were proud to exceed our goal of collecting over one thousand items to give to Hurricane Sandy victims! Thank you to my Merion family for donating and their never ending support! If you have anything you would like to contribute to the hurricane victims go to http://www.wishuponahero.com/

First Lady Michelle Obama is an icon in the fashion world, billions look up to her for the hottest and latest trends. Since her husband Barrack Obama was re-elected as President I decided it would be really neat to do a blog on White House fashions! Michelle and her daughters Malia and Sasha are preppy with a fun twist! I really adore their style since its conservative but trendy. Here is how you can wear their vogue too!

J. Crew Matchstick Jean In Garment Dyed Denim $125.00 These jeans are bright like Michelle, Malia, and Sasha’s and are super preppy! They are known to make you look slimmer! Pair these with a cute pair of converse, printed ballet flats or oxfords for a youthful look!

Tory Burch haircalfHANA FLAT $295.00 For those who know me you all know I love flats! I wear combat boots, Vans, Converse, rain boots, and Sperry’s all the time! My Top 10 Beauty Products

Posted on: November 7th, 2012 by admin No Comments

I love beauty and fashion, it is a passion of mine and a secret hidden talent. I love to make people feel special and good about being in their own skin. I think makeup should only enhance your natural beauty not cover it up. I am personally a big fan of Chanel, M.A.C., Clinique, and Benefit makeup products. When I am on set, the makeup artists obviously uses heavier products but from day to day I prefer my makeup to feel light and airy. Here are my Top 10 Beauty Products:

1.  Chanel’s Jous Contraste (blush), in 72 Rose Initiale. It makes your face look fresh and youthful!

2.  Dazzleglass (lipgloss) by M.A.C., in Moth To Flame. This gloss can spice up anyones makeup by adding that glamorous touch. It is a light nude tone that is appropriate for everyday and special occasion.

3. Benefit’s Dont Stray Eye Concealer is the best since it is very light but makes your eye makeup last all day. One bottle can last up to a half of a year. The first time I bought this I was in L.A. walking around in Santa Monica, it was also the first time I used Benefit but I have been in love with it since.

4. Juicy Couture’s Couture Couture Perfume I wear about everyday. It has a sweet and girly scent to it.

5. Chanel’s Rouge Coco Shine in Boy(54), Squirire(70), and Aventure(57) are like a lip balm and lipstick in one! They are opaque so it is a natural pop of color to your lips.

6. M.A.C. False Lashes Extreme Black can turn your eye lashes into looking full but not clumpy!

7. Clinique 3 Step Face Wash is amazing! It keeps my face soft and acne free!

8. Naked 2 by Urban Decay. This palete is natural and gorgeous on the eyelid making all eye colors pop! I always wear a gold or bronze eye since it is simple and pretty.

9.  All Hail The Queen Nail Lacquer by Butter London. I really like this color because it is simple and goes with all different outift choices! I think it is a must have.

10. Sebastian Hair Shaper is my beauty product best friend! It holds all my frizz down and keeps everything in place.

Justin Bieber Believe Tour

Posted on: November 6th, 2012 by admin No Comments

Last night at Justin Bieber’s Believe Tour concert in Philly (11/4/12) I was reassured I can achieve my wildest dreams. Justin has already inspired millions to “Never Say Never” but now he is sending the message to always “Believe”. He performed his song Believe from his new album Believe that was released last spring, as he starts singing “Everything starts from something”, I realized small things become greats things. I remember when when Justin started posting videos six years ago on YouTube now he is a Teen Sensation with twenty nine million and growing twitter followers, three albums, and two world tours. From living in a small town in Canada, and singing on the street to residing in the United States, and selling out 2 World Tours. Also, he just sold out Madison Squares Garden two nights in a row, which is unheard of. In life everything happens for a reason, I truly believe his reason was to show the youth anyones dreams can come true if you have determination, belief, and faith.

I highly suggest everyone to purchase a ticket to one of Justin’s shows before the tour ends because it was a very moving show. Secondly, he throws a breath taking and jaw dropping performance. I was more than impressed. I met his wonderful and down to earth grandparents yesterday! They are so proud of Justin and all of his accomplishments and philanthropy. work.

My best friend Maria and I at the concert.

Maria and I with Justin’s grandparents Bruce and Diane! Love them!

Hurricane Sandy Relief

Posted on: November 4th, 2012 by admin No Comments

As everyone knows Hurricane Sandy has been a tremendous event for the East Coast. Many areas are still out of electricity, and most are without food, water, gas, and shelter. There has even been gas rationing in areas where you could only buy gas on your day according to your license plate. As the National Youth Ambassador for Wish Upon A Hero it is my job to help. My team put our thinking caps on and decided to get a group of my closest friends together and make a difference. We are beginning an event at my high school where we will have drop off boxes around the school for people to donate non perishable food, water, and other life necessities.  Also different items will be sold to raise money to help those who have been hit hard. What hit close to home for me was seeing the Jersey Shore destroyed, the sand I grew up making sand castles on and sun bathing in, is now demolished. Not only are we going to be doing this project through out our schools, towns, and states but also nation wide. Wish Upon A Hero is hosting text to donate days! You can text  HERO to 80088 to donate $5.00 for Hurricane Sandy Relief. The devastation is beyond what one may think. Check out wishuponahero.com and hurricanehero.com .

Bieber Stolen Video Scandal

Posted on: October 12th, 2012 by admin No Comments

Justin Bieber’s  Mac and camera were stolen out of his tour managers office in Washington this past Tuesday. Bieber tweeted ” i had alot of personal footage on that computer and camera and that is what bothers me the most. #lame #norespect”. After, a nude photo was released from the man who took his belongings. A bird similar to Justin’s had been on the nude photo. PhotoShop could have easily been used to alter that onto the the nude photo. Beliebers quickly defended Justin saying it was a Bieber look alike. The photo was  put online before the theft. Everyone should pray for Justin that the man who stole his belongings decides not to post his videos and photos on the Internet. I can’t imagine being in Justin’s shoes right now. I hope the man decides to make the right decision at noon.

GUESS WHAT WAS RELEASED. BEAUTY AND A BEAT MUSIC VIDEO FT NICKI MINAJ! IT WAS ALL A PRANK! GO WATCH!  http://t.co/HwZCzbgD

Back To School Trends!

Posted on: September 5th, 2012 by admin No Comments

Hey everyone! Are you excited for school to start? I started last Wednesday at Merion Mercy Academy and I absolutley love it! I have fabulous teachers and great classes this year! I am already very busy! I had to read 3 books and write 2 essays so far with homework on top of it!

Even though I will be in a uniform , finding Back to School trends are still so much fun! I hope you enjoy my fashion finds for Back to School! Even though summer is winding  down or already ended I think  this is possibly one of my favorite times of year because of the fun fashions!

Colors that are very “in” this fall are shades of purple, magenta, red, orange, and also green! I like to wear colored jeans in the fall with a cute patterned top and boots, oxfords, or converse with it! Print jeans also are great to make a statement.

811 Mid-Rise Skinny Leg by J Brand ($176) are my favorite fall jeans! The best part about these they come in so many cute colors!

PATTERNS THIS SEASON ARE HOT!  They can go on your top or bottom and maybe even both if you dare! Louis Vuitton paired up with Yayoi Kusama to create the cutest Louis’ ever! I am obsessed! They are all different polka dots! The flats they designed are hot and totally  fall material this year! Love patterned shoes too! You can probably find a similar pair in a higher end department store. You don’t neccessarily  need to buy Louis Vuitton to pull off this trend. Anthropologie and J Brand have adorable patterend jeans for the fall! Even polka dots!

Ballerina In Monogram Vernis Dot Infinity ($1,030)  It is exciting to  find a fun patterned flat at reasonable price that gives that exclusive Louis look for a fraction of Louis Vuitton prices!

Pilcro Stet Slim Geo Cords (Anthropologie $98)

Leather is my FAVORITE trend of all this fall! I recently bought a faux leather peplum in Nordstrom! I have already gotten so many compliments on it! I love leather shoes, pants, shirts, skirts, and accesories! I find myself more leather crazy as the season goes on! Have yourself some fun and send me some photos of your favorite outfit for fall! I will post them on my website!

Chloe K Faux Leather Trim Shirt ($38.00)

These are some of my favorite back to school trends! Even though I wear a uniform in the school week, I like to sport these trends on the weekend or events!  Style is whatever you want it to be. Make sure when outfitting yourself this year you are being YOU!

As Dr. Suess says “No one is you-er than you.” Aim for straight A’s this year and have fun!

XOXO

Gracie
